- Roast level: Light to medium roast
- Grind size: Medium-coarse, resembling sea salt
- Brew Ratio: 1:16 (coffee-to-water ratio)
Brewing Steps
1. Prepare the Filter
Fold the Chemex filter, place it into the Chemex, and rinse it thoroughly with hot water. Discard the rinse water.
2. Add Coffee
Weigh and grind 30g of coffee. Add it to the filter.
3. Bloom
Start your timer. Pour 60g of water evenly over the coffee grounds and let it bloom for 30–45 seconds.
4. First Pour
Pour water in a slow circular motion, starting in the center and spiraling outward until the scale reads 240g. Let it drain slightly.
5. Second Pour
Continue pouring in a circular motion until the total water reaches 480g.
6. Finish
Allow the water to drip completely. Total brew time should be 3:30–4:00 minutes.
