- Brew Ratio: 1:2 (coffee-to-espresso ratio)
Brewing Steps
1. Preheat
Turn on the espresso machine and allow it to heat up. Preheat the portafilter and espresso cup by running hot water through them
2. Grind Coffee
Weigh 18g of coffee and grind it to a fine consistency.
3. Prepare Portafilter
Add the coffee grounds to the portafilter, level them evenly, and tamp with 30-40 pounds of pressure to create a flat, even surface.
4. Lock and Brew
Insert the portafilter into the espresso machine. Start the shot, aiming for a total extraction time of 25–30 seconds to yield 36g of espresso.
5. Serve
Pour the espresso into a preheated cup immediately.
