- Roast level: Medium roast
- Grind size: Coarse, resembling sea salt
- Brew Ratio: 1:16 (coffee-to-water ratio)
- Water Temperature: 197°F–205°F (92°C–96°C)
Brewing Steps
1. Preheat the French Press
Pour hot water into the French Press to warm it up, then discard.
2. Add Coffee Grounds
Place 15g of freshly ground coffee into the French Press.
3. Bloom
Pour 30g of water (twice the weight of coffee) evenly over the grounds. Let it sit for 30–45 seconds to bloom and release gases.
4. Pour Remaining Water
Slowly add the remaining water (195g), ensuring all grounds are saturated.
5. Stir
Gently stir with a wooden or plastic spoon to mix the grounds evenly.
6. Steep
Place the lid on with the plunger pulled up. Let the coffee steep for 4 minutes. For stronger coffee, steep for 5 minutes.
7. Plunge
Slowly press the plunger down.
