Brewing Steps
1. Prepare the Water
Heat water in a kettle to about 85°C–90°C (185°F–194°F). Preheating prevents the coffee from burning.
2. Fill the Base Chamber
Pour hot water into the Moka Pot’s base, up to the safety valve.
3. Add Coffee Grounds
Fill the filter basket with 17g of coffee grounds. Level it gently without tamping.
4. Assemble the Moka Pot
Secure the top chamber onto the base tightly but without overtightening.
5. Heat
Place the Moka Pot on medium heat. Keep the lid open to monitor progress.
6. Brew
Coffee will begin to flow into the top chamber. Listen for a hissing or bubbling sound—this indicates brewing is complete.
7. Cool Down
Remove the Moka Pot from the heat immediately to avoid over-extraction. Run the base under cold water to stop brewing.
